Corbel
Conservation and craftmanship
Corbel
I was brought onto this project by Ice house design to create a cinematic film for a new website they were making for Corbel, showcasing their work both in their joinery workshop and on site carrying out conservation and restoration projects.
From the initial conversation, I was excited by the creative possibilities of the project and started thinking about how to capture the craftsmanship, scale and character of the work in a cinematic way.
Shot over two days across three very different locations, the project gave me plenty of beautiful places to work with, from the open, characterful joinery workshop to The Bishop’s Palace in Wells and a restoration project at Tone Works.
I was also able to be involved throughout the creative process, from working with Ice House Design to develop the visual approach, shooting and then editing the final film.
A really enjoyable project from start to finish, and it’s great to see the film now sitting within their new website.
