This short documentary explores how Janet, the UK’s world-class research and education network, is helping power the future of scientific discovery. Focusing on its role in supporting the groundbreaking Rubin Observatory telescope.

The film highlights how vast quantities of data are transferred in near real-time, enabling UK scientists to access and analyse an unprecedented record of the universe.

This was a real highlight of the year, filming an interview at the Edinburgh Observatory beside the historic telescope, and gaining access to the library for some research sequences, made for a particularly memorable shoot.
